“pick fights you can win” … no one picks fight with America. This is America picking fight with the most weakest nations on earth. No one is picking fight with America, America is picking fight with Hawaii for centuries! Hawaiians may not win any fight against America, but as long as the history of Hawaii stands, US fight for freedom of countries in this world will forever overshadows by its illegal overthrown of the Kingdom of Hawaii and its illegal occupation of the Hawaiian islands!

    Its “Haole” not “Haoli”

is a joke. The irony of the American foreign policy is that its based on selected strategy. They picked which country to beat up and restore its government, but not the Hawaiian kingdom. How about Hawaii? Doesn’t this apply to them? Hawaii was a Kingdom for hundreds of years until the Americans took over! The Akaka bill is an attempt to declare Hawaii as “Native Americans” in order to pacify them just as they did Native American tribes. But the truth is that Hawaiians aren’t Native Americans!

  5. jtmoana says:

Jeriddoering, you are right about about one thing “suppressing of native Hawaiians” to a point where they won’t be do rise up against the States. But the issue is more than who is the majority in Hawaii, or who has the pure blood. The issue is about United States of America, preaching to the world about democracy and restoration of the rule of law in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Congo, Honduras, etc. forgot that they failed to return Hawaiian kingdom to the native Hawaiians. This..

  6. Jeriddoering says:

this ***** in every way imaginable…..but in the words of data from star trek “resistence is futile” at this point….nothings going to happen. your throwing pebbles in an ocean. as hawaiins dilute their genes and the asians take over as “hawaiians” this will all be a moot point. pick fights you can win. cultures dissapear and get absorbed read your history. it ***** but its part of population explosions.

  7. MrSidMan says:

Yeah. Just don’t go building casinos!
    lol
I agree with what ur saying… Sounds possible and it Should be possible. All natives I feel should get some retribution. IMO.

It’s a big world, and it only gets bigger (when explored). There are people dwelling all over the map, of all different backgrounds. Ask them to leave? Like you say, it is unlikely.
It is unfortunate that a land with such descent down to earth ppl be nabbed up by a large country.
Bright Side?’Under the wing’ now I Guess

  8. MrSidMan says:

We are in this world together playing musical chairs it seems.

  9. Pinketuzz says:

btw for James Cook was the idiot that discovered Hawaii., on a little “journey” trip. a.k.a theif trip

  10. Pinketuzz says:

i may not live in hawaii but seriously, its a country not a state . The US should respect the people of hawaii and its land and not see them as “native”. we all know pearl harbor bla bla who gives a ****. Its a country not a state in the united states.

that bastarad James Cook better role good in his grave.

  12. AdvanXer says:

Puerto Rico is next. Get use to it.

  13. cwood4ever says:

Hawaii would just have been under control of some other nation. Whether that be Japan, some European country ie England, Dutch etc. Look at Tonga and Samoa same thing. These people just need to shut the **** up and get a job and contribute to society.

  14. Falashmura says:

White PPL R Thieves.Self centered and self righteous.

  15. hajqbvii says:

Land should be set aside for the Pure Blooded Hawaiians(Polynesian) and cash retribution should be given to anyone with Hawaiian blood….I think that could be a possible goal!…but to think USA would give back Hawaii?….no, sorry.

  16. Countachcx says:

haha, it was a joke, don’t get **** hurt.

  17. welcomegohome says:

at least i know i can cook better than you and i’m less likely to be inbred, at any point in my ancestry’s past.

  18. welcomegohome says:

haha nope, i’m not. just mexican, german, english and canary islander. that’d be a cool thing to get involved in tho. i almost went to hpu, for my freshman year last year but i decided to save tons of money and just took my summer trip. now i kinda regret that decision :/

  19. hulaqte says:

LOL, you sure your not really hawaiian? they can use a guy like you in their fight for disolution of the union…..

  20. welcomegohome says:

yeah, true. it is warm under the wing of the dragon, but every thing good comes to an end, and it’s always good to keep this kinda stuff in mind. plus, more realistic goals would be better than apartheid/affirmative-action-like goals towards better recognition. goals that are in the interests of all the people of hawaii, hawaiian blood or not. the other 80% in favor would help out. 30% of the texas government polled would be in favor of secession! i wanna see this union collapse someday.

  21. hulaqte says:

boy you got that right….. however, enjoying the fact we ARE the 50th state, and the privileges that come with being part of the union, i wonder sometimes do the native hawaiians know EXACTLY what wer’e getting ourselves into?and lets face it, how about our future children?maybe i’m comfortable with giving more land, more voice in the political arena-the best of both worlds ,right?the Akaka bill is a joke, i’m hoping for a better resoultion on that-i want whats best for the ppl of Hawaii…

  22. welcomegohome says:

yeah i’m sure it’d mean a great deal to native hawaiians, along with non natives who’ve been their for many generations, to have their own nation, their own musty old seat in the UN. no doubt struggling hawaiians need to be helped up n put on their feet, not throw out non natives like dumb **** mugabe did. hugo chavez took land from the rich and gave it to poor ppl who didn’t know *** to do with it, i know venezuelans.. they **** chavez for that. things went downhill. 27 CHARACTERS LEFT UGHUUH!!

  23. hulaqte says:

it becomes more than that to many of the indigenous ppl of Hawaii- it means FINALLY, a place that is “ours”,and that we didnt give up our land to missionarys,or greedy landgrabbers-
while native american land is desolate and barren, none can be said true of hawaii-except right by an active volcano,lol-
this is an interesting to me as i follow the news back home-will the activists make their voices heard?loud enough for congress to hear? or will gov.Lingle rush thru the Akaka bill? we’ll see-
