    It was the year before, I believe when Scott pasted him using a truck as a screen. This was the year after…my bad

    I remeber this race really well, I was a Dave Scott fan, although I felt awful for Allen after this race.

    The “young” German Timo Bracht is great!! His last race (IM Frankfurt) was really nice, when he was running the marathon in the end even faster than McCormack!!

    btw. Germany won the olympic-triathlon race!! Jan Frodeno =)

    Thanks so much for sharing this. I was lucky enough to work at one of the press booths during this race, which in my opinion was the best Ironman ever with the showdown between Dave and Mark. What a race!

    Mark Allen was always my favourite triathlete, the guy is like a machine. Fav triathletes for me, Mark Allen, Dave Scott, Scott Molina, Scott Tinley, Greg Welch
