God i wish music was this epic for TV series we get now days… back in the 70s and 80s we had some awesome TV show themes…
I happend to catch this on KOFY TV on retro night, but i didn’t like the portrayal of Asians in this series, not to mention the Japanese villain and his daughter were played by white people faking on their accents. But the music is good.

Picture this: 1st time at future Father in law’s house so need to be on best behaviour. I see his size 14 shoes and quickly pop both my feet in and start humming the 5-0 song, rowing an imaginary canoe. Fiance’s laughs briefly then gives me a blank look. I hum louder, saying ”Didn’t you ever watch Hawaii 5-0??” (”Da-da-da-da daaa-daaa etc”) I then realise that her 6ft 5 Dad is standing behind me. D’oh!
Glad to say that he saw the funny side but I nearly shat my pants at the time!
